Freezer not freezing

Try these checks in order

Exact controls and access points differ by model. Stop when a step does not match your appliance or manual.

   Check the set point

   Set the freezer near 0 F unless the manual specifies differently. Allow several hours after loading or a power interruption.

   What you want: The control shows a normal target.

   Close the door fully

   Clear packages from the gasket and vents. Check that drawers and bins are seated.

   What you want: The door closes evenly and seals around the frame.
3. 3

   Reduce warm loading

   A large amount of unfrozen food can warm the compartment. Spread items out and avoid blocking vents.

   What you want: Cold air can circulate around items.

   Check for heavy frost

   Visible frost around vents or the door can block airflow. Use only the manual defrost method and do not chip ice.

   What you want: No heavy frost blocks the visible vents.
5. 5

   Check installation conditions

   Very hot or very cold garages can exceed the model rating. Confirm required clearances and room range.

   What you want: The environment matches the installation guide.
